Our Story

In the heart of Canterbury lies Outlaw; A cafe in tribute to the iconic “Robin Hood Antiques’ that once stood in its place.   Boasting stunning emerald subway tiles and massive green barn doors with the letters "R" "H”, it inspired not only our foxy logo brand, but our interiors too.   We've tried hard to modernise the space and feel, while respecting the buildings true origins.   Combining elements of its rich surrounding heritage with a new modern workflow,  Outlaw is here to set sights on a fresh future and define a new era of Canterbury’s history.

Our intentions for Outlaw and Canterbury go far beyond a speciality cafe and quality brew.

We really want to see the suburb grow and encourage a new era of prosperity.

Our slogan, ‘FOR THE PEOPLE’ is born from the heroic outlaw; Robin Hood and really applies to everything we do.

We stand for really good food and really really good service.
